Currently ( as of November 2019) there are 11 states in the US where recreational use of marijuana and cannabis products are legal (Alaska, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington), the District of Columbia, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam).
At the time of writing, there are more states that are eventually going to become more relaxed with the sale and consumption of marijuana.
Aside from those states listed above, there are a few other states where pot is available for medical use. You simply need a doctor’s referral for prescription which generally lasts up to one year before you have to renew your license.
DId you know that in Nebraska, Idaho and South Dakota, cannabis is still illegal? That’s not bad considering only a few years ago things were much different across the US.
Finding a Dispensary Near You
The team at CBD Root Source has created a sister site that now allows you to input your city in order to locate your nearest dispensary.
This is very useful to those who have a medical marijuana license or are traveling in a state where recreational marijuana is available.
